2POOD “Unapologetically American” weightlifting belt

The belt helps you maintain the correct posture when weightlifting.
This reduces the risk of spinal injury and lets you move more weight with proper form. The increased stability can sometimes make exactly the difference that gets you to your next PR.
However, a weightlifting belt must never replace the focus on correct exercise technique.
The 85% rule
The most common recommendation for wearing a weightlifting belt is to use the belt once you are moving more than 85% of your max weight.
However, some athletes like the support even at lighter weights so they can keep performing exercises with proper form when fatigue sets in during a workout.
Placement
The weightlifting belt should be worn securely over the hips and below the ribs, centered around the navel, to ensure maximum support and stability.
