However, a weightlifting belt must never replace the focus on correct exercise technique.
The 85% rule
The most common recommendation for wearing a weightlifting belt is to use the belt once you are lifting more than 85% of your max.
However, some athletes like the support even at lighter weights so they can keep performing movements cleanly when fatigue sets in during the workout.
Placement
