Weightlifting belts

Why should I wear a weightlifting belt during training?

If you do exercises with heavy weights, a weightlifting belt can support you. You strap it tightly around your body: this increases intra-abdominal pressure. This helps you keep your spine straighter, which in turn protects it. Many athletes and professional sportspeople rely on fitness belts, as they can also relieve pressure on the intervertebral discs and reduce the risk of injury when training with heavy weights.

Frequently asked questions about our training belts

Weightlifting belts are beneficial for many exercises. These include deadlifts, for example, or squats. A lifting belt protects your spine and intervertebral discs during training, as it helps you maintain the correct posture during heavy workouts.

We offer you weightlifting belts made from leather and neoprene. Which material you choose depends on your individual training. Leather gives you maximum stability, while neoprene offers excellent comfort and good flexibility.

What should I consider when putting on a weightlifting belt?

You should put on your weightlifting belt right before training with heavy weights. Wrap it snugly around your waist and fasten it tightly so it can build intra-abdominal pressure and then support you when lifting weights. For your core to be optimally stabilized, your lifting belt must fit correctly and be adjusted to your body. That's why at HighPowered Fitness, we offer you sizes XXXS to XL. This means you're sure to find a weightlifting belt that fits your individual body.
