From the milk of free-range cows on Dutch pasturesThe basis for the isolate is whey from the milk of cows that are fed grass for at least ten months of the year and spend most of the year on Dutch pastures. The animals live in ethical farming conditions that are better than those on conventional farms. Their milk has a more favourable fatty acid profile than milk from cows fed mixed feed. The whey is then filtered at low temperatures so that naturally occurring protein fractions such as beta-lactoglobulin and lactoferrin are preserved. |
High proportion of essential amino acids
Whey protein contains a high proportion of essential amino acids, including naturally occurring branched-chain amino acids, or BCAAs. In the DIAAS, the indicator of protein quality based on essential amino acid content and digestibility, whey protein isolate reaches 100 %. Proteins are considered high quality from a DIAAS of 75 %. Proteins contribute to the maintenance of muscle mass.
Natural taste, with stevia instead of sucraloseThe authentic taste comes from real ingredients such as cocoa, freeze-dried strawberries, and ground vanilla. Vilgain avoids synthetic flavours and colours. Sweetness comes from steviol glycosides from the leaves of the stevia plant, with sucralose deliberately left out. |

Low lactose content
Thanks to advanced filtration, the isolate contains only 0.5 % lactose, while the maximum upper limit is 1 %.
The shake after strength training and for dieting
An isolate has a higher proportion of protein and a lower content of fat, sugar, and carbohydrates, so it is absorbed faster than a concentrate. This makes it the right choice after strength training. The low fat and sugar content also ensures a low energy value, which is especially important during a diet. To prepare, add one 30 g scoop to 200 to 250 ml of water and mix well.
