When slipping and re-chalking break up your setYou are in the middle of a long set of toes-to-bar, and instead of focusing on the next rep, your grip slips or you lose time at the chalk bucket. The Frog Grips Elite were developed exactly for high volume on the bar: chalk-free gymnastics grips that do not need chalk even on very smooth or powder-coated bars. Elite is the grippiest model in the Frog Grips range and addresses the real problem: the contact between grip and bar. The fingerless shape is especially suited to athletes who wrap their thumb over the bar; however, the strong adhesion also changes how you release from the bar. |

Three layers of Hypalon, Kevlar and microfibre protect your handsThe 2.4 mm construction combines three layers: Hypalon provides contact with the bar, Kevlar reinforces the middle, and soft microfiber suede forms the back against your hand. This combination is designed for durability, hand protection, and long-term performance under heavy load, without the thickness costing you contact with the bar. When first worn, Elite can feel stiffer than other Frog Grips models; the Grip Guide names exactly this initially stiffer feel, together with maximum durability and maximum hand protection, as a feature of the model. |
HD or OG determines coverage and wrist feel
HD has a wider wrist support and covers more of the hand: according to the manufacturer, this reduces fatigue and improves stability during longer sets, and larger athletes more often choose HD. OG uses a thinner support and more minimalist coverage, which makes the bar feel more natural and the slimmer shape allows more freedom of movement during fast transitions. Both versions use a neoprene pad and a pull-through strap system, are marked left and right, and provide a labeling area to prevent mix-ups. According to Frog Grips, which width suits you better remains a matter of personal preference.

Measure from the base of your palm to the base of your fingers. The grips should cover your fingers no more than halfway up your middle finger. Do not deliberately choose them larger: with the especially grippy Elite surface, this does not improve hold, but it does increase the risk of a grip lock.

A lot of grip requires deliberate hand movement
What keeps you on the bar can also prevent you from releasing as usual by simply slipping off. So consciously open your hand when you want to let go, and first test the grips in the warm-up or in a technique section before using them in a workout under fatigue; for muscle-ups, you need to learn to relax and open your hands at the top point. The right size, a correctly adjusted wrist strap, and controlled dismounts keep the risk of a grip lock low. Check grips, bar, or rings for damage and a secure fit before every use.
Strongest without chalk, with honest limits on steel barsElite works best clean and without chalk. So briefly wipe down the grip area of a bar that has already been chalked: dampen one end of the included mini bar cloth, clean the surface, and dry it with the dry side. The model's strength is on powder-coated and other smooth bars; it may work less well on Speal bars, and experiences are mixed on bare steel bars. For regular training with chalk on steel bars, Hybrid or Base are more in line with the stated use profile. |

How to care for the Hypalon surface
Before hand washing, close the hook-and-loop fastener, wash the grips by hand with warm water, and use only a very small amount of diluted detergent at most on the neoprene, the strap, and the back. The Hypalon grip surface itself should only come into contact with warm water; for cleaning before or after training, wiping it with a damp cloth is enough. At the same time, check the grips for damage and that all parts are securely fitted.

Frog Grips shows you in the approximately three-minute guide how to put on the Elite Grips, adjust them correctly, and safely release them from the bar again.
