Why magnesium in powder form?

Magnesium in powder form allows for easy dosing, fast absorption and is especially flexible to use. It dissolves effortlessly in water or other liquids, making it an excellent alternative to capsules. It is especially well suited for people who do not like swallowing capsules or who want to adjust their magnesium intake individually. Thanks to its neutral taste, it is versatile and can also be stirred into smoothies or yogurt. The blueberry-flavored version makes the latter especially tasty, but it is also perfectly suited for dissolving in water.

Three magnesium compounds for an enhanced effect

Our 2:1:1 complex combines the benefits of three magnesium sources:

  • Magnesium glycinate – Magnesium bound to the amino acid glycine is very likely absorbed in the intestine via the amino acid transporter. This form is considered well tolerated and is commonly used in supplements. In addition, possible interactions with other components from food are prevented, as it is absorbed independently of other micronutrients.

  • Trimagnesium dicitrate – One of the best-known magnesium compounds – magnesium is present in the form of a salt bound to citrate. This form is highly soluble and is effectively absorbed by the body.

  • Magnesium carbonate – due to its structure, it is made available in the body more slowly than other forms. As a result, it may supply the body with magnesium more gently and for a little longer. It also provides carbonate – a component of the body's natural buffer systems.

In addition, Edubily's magnesium powder contains vitamin B6, which may help improve the absorption and storage of magnesium in the body. (Source)

Frequently asked questions & answers from Edubily

Magnesium powder or capsules – which form is better?

The choice between powder and capsules depends on personal preference.
Both dosage forms contain the same high-quality magnesium compounds and offer high bioavailability. While capsules make intake simple and convenient, the powder allows flexible dosing and can be stirred into drinks.

What should not be taken together with magnesium?

Magnesium can affect the absorption of iron and certain medications.
It is therefore advisable to take magnesium at least two hours apart from iron-containing supplements or certain medications such as antibiotics. You can find more detailed information in the package leaflet for the respective medicines or speak to your doctor.

How should magnesium powder be taken?

The magnesium powder can be dosed flexibly and easily stirred into liquids.
The recommended daily dose is approx. 1-2 scoops, depending on your needs, mixed with water or another liquid. It can be taken throughout the day to ensure optimal absorption.

Should a measuring spoon be included?

Yes, a measuring spoon is included with the product, but it may be hidden in the powder during transport.
If you do not find it right away, gently stir through the powder to locate it.

Why does the magnesium powder smell sweet?

Magnesium glycinate naturally has a slightly sweet odor.
This is completely normal and a sign of the product's high quality. The natural odor has no effect on the powder's effectiveness or shelf life.

How much magnesium should you take daily?

According to the "National Nutrition Survey II" by the Max Rubner-Institut, many people in Germany do not reach the recommended daily magnesium intake. This underlines the importance of a balanced diet and, if necessary, supplementation with suitable magnesium supplements to meet individual needs.
According to the study, the main sources of magnesium in the German diet are cereals and cereal products, especially whole grain products, followed by milk and dairy products, meat, and vegetables.
Accordingly, magnesium deficiency is particularly observed in adolescents and young adults. Women tend to consume less magnesium than men. Older people also often do not reach the recommended magnesium intake.

The recommended daily magnesium intake varies depending on age, gender, and life circumstances. Here are the recommendations from two renowned organizations.
