Edubily Iodine Capsules contain high-quality organic kelp powder from the seaweed Ascophyllum nodosum, sourced from sustainable stocks in Scandinavia and the British Isles. The organic brown seaweed powder contains 100 µg iodine per capsule. Iodine contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function. In a healthy adult, around 70–80% of the body’s total iodine – about 15–20 mg – is found in the thyroid, which uses around 80 μg iodine daily to produce thyroid hormones.

Iodine is an essential trace element required for the production of the thyroid hormones triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4).
