Egg protein is one of the classic sources of dietary protein and can be used in many ways. It contains all essential amino acids in a balanced ratio – including sulfur-containing amino acids such as methionine and cysteine.
The powder is obtained from cholesterol-free egg white and can be used for shakes or baking.
A look inside the egg - The protein fractions and amino acids:
Egg white contains various protein fractions that together make up the total protein content. These fractions differ in structure and function. Among them is ovalbumin, which makes up the largest share at an average of 54%. This is followed by conalbumin (ovotransferrin) at 12%, ovomucoid at 11%, as well as lysozyme and ovomucin at 3.5% each, and many other proteins. It also contains sulfur-containing amino acids such as methionine and cysteine.

The egg protein powder is based on egg white from European free-range farming. The hens have regular access to outdoor areas (free-range farming according to EU standards).

From liquid egg white to powder
To make the egg protein powder, free-range egg white is processed at moderate temperatures and without additives. The water is removed, resulting in an almost fat-free powder with a high protein content.

What does the unflavored egg powder taste like?
The unflavored powder is simply dried egg white. In terms of taste, it is reminiscent of liquid egg white in a Tetra Pak – neutral, but authentic.
The powder tastes salty – is that normal?
Yes, the salty taste is completely normal. This is due to the natural salt content in egg white. Since our egg protein contains no additives whatsoever, the natural salt content is easy to taste.
Can I use it to make whipped egg whites?
Due to its composition, the powder is not suitable for making classic whipped egg whites. We have added some MCT powder to reduce foaming ability and create a suitable consistency for shakes. It does become fluffy, but remains stable and not too stiff.

79.6 % chicken egg white powder (from free-range eggs), 10 % reduced-fat cocoa powder, MCT fat powder (coconut oil, acacia fiber), flavoring, thickener: guar gum; sweetener: steviol glycosides.
