Normally, curcumin is fat-soluble, which means it dissolves poorly in water and only reaches the bloodstream in small amounts. The patented Longvida® Optimised Curcumin® technology addresses this problem through an innovative delivery method, Solid-Lipid Curcumin Particle (SLCP™) technology:
SLCP™ technology is well documented scientifically and is now used in numerous studies. In this technology, curcuminoids – especially curcumin – are surrounded by a protective shell made of fat phospholipids (lecithin and stearic acid*). This coating protects the curcumin while significantly increasing bioavailability.
