Why thumb tape and not just any tape
When weightlifting, the bar pulls on the same spot on your thumb during hook grip, snatches, and cleans. Ordinary sports tape comes loose there after just a few sets as soon as chalk and sweat come into play. This tape is made exactly for that: it conforms to your thumb and stays where you stuck it until the end of the workout.
Application tips
Tear off a piece of about 20 cm and wrap it in two to three layers around the base joint of your thumb, snugly but not so tight that it cuts off circulation. Never stick it directly onto an open area; always apply it to dry, clean skin. After training, the tape peels off again in one piece.
