Edubily's Premium Quality Egg Protein Powder
Egg protein is one of the classic sources of dietary protein and can be used in a variety of ways. It contains all essential amino acids in a balanced ratio – including sulfur-containing amino acids like methionine and cysteine.
The powder is derived from cholesterol-free egg whites and can be used for shakes or baking.
A Look Inside the Egg - The Protein Fractions and Amino Acids:
The egg white contains various protein fractions that together form the total protein content. These fractions differ in structure and functions. Among them is ovalbumin, which makes up the largest portion at an average of 54%. This is followed by conalbumin (ovotransferrin) at 12%, ovomucoid at 11%, as well as lysozyme and ovomucin at 3.5% each, and many other proteins. It also contains sulfur-containing amino acids such as methionine and cysteine.
Free-Range Eggs
The egg protein powder is based on egg whites from European free-range farming. The chickens have regular access to the outdoors (free-range according to EU standards).
The main raw material of the product, egg powder, comes from Germany or direct neighboring countries.
From Liquid Egg Whites to Powder
For the production of the egg protein powder, the egg whites from free-range farming are processed at moderate temperatures without additives. The water is removed, resulting in a nearly fat-free powder with a high protein content.
Versatile Application Possibilities
The egg protein powder from Edubily can be used in a variety of ways. Whether as a shake or in your favorite recipes. Yes, it can also be used for baking. The powder can be used in place of liquid egg whites in, for example, bread or desserts.
Frequently Asked Questions && Answers by Edubily
What does the flavor-neutral egg powder taste like?
The flavor-neutral powder is simply dried egg whites. In terms of taste, it is reminiscent of liquid egg whites in a Tetra Pak – neutral, but authentic.
Does the powder taste salty – is that normal?
Yes, the salty taste is completely normal. This is due to the natural salt content in the egg white. Since our egg protein contains no additives, the natural salt content is easily noticeable.
Can I use it to make meringue?
The powder is not suitable for the classic preparation of meringue due to its composition. We have added some MCT powder to reduce foaming ability and provide a suitable consistency for shakes. While it does become fluffy, it remains stable and not too stiff.
