Edubilys' LIAF-certified collagen hydrolysate is sourced from Argentine pasture-raised cattle. The product contains collagen peptides of various types, with Type 1 being the predominant component. This powder is a collagen hydrolysate. During hydrolysis, the collagen is broken down into smaller components.

In addition to collagen peptides, the product contains essential cofactors such as vitamin C, zinc, manganese, and copper. 

Official Health Claims:Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of the skin, cartilage, blood vessels, and gums. Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and nails. Manganese contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. Copper contributes to the maintenance of normal connective tissue.

It also contains silicic acid, a natural source of silicon.

Thispowder mixes very well into yogurt, shakes, coffee, or water, for example.

Collagen as a structural protein in the body

Collagen is one of the unique proteins found in the human body. It is characterized by its distinctive amino acid structure: every third amino acid in the long chain is glycine—the smallest amino acid, which plays a key role in the typical structure of the collagen chain. Another common motif in this sequence is glycine-proline-hydroxyproline.

To date, 28 different types of collagen have been identified in the body. Type I and type II collagen are found in many different sources of collagen and are also the main components of this collagen hydrolysate product.

A powder from a certified source

The collagen hydrolysate is sourced from pasture-raised cattle in Argentina and isLIAF-certified. 

These guidelines include, among other things, that the animals spend time outdoors on pasture year-round and are fed primarily fresh grass. In addition, the collagen is sourced from a supplier that processes it in accordance with halal standards.

For the flavored varieties, the product is sweetened exclusively with steviol glycosides.

Why is the bag only half full?

When the bag is filled, it is packed to the brim. Since the powder loses volume after filling, it may appear to be only half full.

How long does a package last?

The 750-gram package contains about 50 servings, and the 350-gram package contains about 23 servings—so if taken daily, one package will last a correspondingly long time.

Is the product lactose-free?

Yes, the collagen hydrolysate powder does not contain lactose.

What's the best way to take the collagen?
You can take our collagen however you like. It dissolves easily—it's also great in juices, soups, or coffee.

Tip: Great for baking, granola bowls, or sauces!

Can I also stir the powder into coffee or other drinks?
Yes, as long as you like the taste! Keep in mind, however, that high temperatures can break down sensitive compounds like vitamin C. Collagen is generally considered heat-stable.

Serving suggestion: For each serving, stir 15 g of powder (about 2 slightly heaped tablespoons) into a glass containing 300 ml of cold water, or add it to a shaker and shake well. Drink 1 serving daily.

For best results: Slowly spread the powder over the surface of the water and wait until it sinks to the bottom without stirring. After waiting about 10 minutes, stir or shake the solution and wait another 5–10 minutes.
